West Sussex - Arundel Sightseeing

Just up the road from the Catholic Church is the Catholic Cathedral which is much grander than St Nicholas Church. It is dedicated to Our Lady and St Philip. In 1664 Roman Catholic worship was suppressed by Parliament and all churches were converted to the Church of England. Another Act of parliament in 1829 reversed that and this cathedral was completed in 1873.
